Helms Medical Institute announces a new intermediate-level Medical Acupuncture course, presented fully virtually in two parts:

Part I) HMI teaching faculty who are board certified specialists in the areas of Neurology, Cardiology, Gynecology, and Pediatrics have prepared video lectures on their use of medical acupuncture in their practices. These lectures will be available for streaming online at your convenience over the month of October. The presentations will be particularly useful for generalists who wish to learn directly from specialists about their clinical strategies.

Part II) On Saturday November 5, 2022, a live webinar will be presented featuring the four HMI faculty members and an HMI faculty moderator for additional case presentations and Q&A.

This course offers 4.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Goals & Objectives

This continuing medical education activity is designed for medical providers with at least an introductory-level background in medical acupuncture.

The presentations will be particularly useful for generalists who wish to learn directly from specialists about their clinical strategies, as well as those practicing in any of these four specialties.

At the conclusion of this training program you will know medical acupuncture management strategies for commonly treated problems including:

  • Neurology: headache, TGN, Bell’s palsy, neuropathy, peripheral entrapment syndromes
  • Cardiology: hypertension, palpitations, tachycardia, non-cardiac chest pain
  • Gynecology: peri and post op pain, scar management, nausea, dysmenorrhea, infertility
  • Pediatrics: approach to pediatric patients, energetics and biopsychotypes in children, URI, asthma, otitis, ADD/ADHD, and autism spectrum

Course Schedule & Video Access

Pre-recorded video lectures from each of the four specialists (Neurology, Cardiology, Gynecology, Pediatrics) will be available during the month of October. You will hear directly from HMI staff on September 30 with video access if your registration is completed prior to October 1. For registrations completed in October/November, please allow up to 48 hours after registration for HMI staff to provide video access to you.

The live webinar will take place via ZOOM on Saturday November 5, 2022 from 7:30-10am PDT / 10:30am-12pm EDT. The link for the webinar will be provided at the same time as Part 1 video access.

 

Fees

Course tuition is $225.

Course tuition includes pre-recorded video lectures prior to the live webinar, attendance at the live webinar, and access to the videos & webinar recording for six weeks following the live event.

 

Refunds

Course tuition is not refundable. If you are unable to attend the live webinar, a recording will be provided.
