HMI is enrolling for a new VIRTUAL course – the second in a series on the intersection of Medical Acupuncture & Neurology. Part I is NOT a prerequisite to enroll in Part II.

This course will deepen your understanding of several commonly encountered neurological problems, including MS, Bell’s Palsy, Trigeminal Neuralgia, and Peripheral Entrapment Syndromes. A lecture on Affective Acupuncture is also included. Discussions of acupuncture physiology will reflect current peer reviewed literature. Straightforward and useful point specific management strategies will be offered.

The course will be presented in two parts:

Part I: Streaming Video Lectures
HMI teaching faculty have prepared a series of video lectures on various topics related to Medical Acupuncture and Neurology. These lectures (a total of 3.5 hours) will be available for streaming online at your convenience over a period of one month (May 30 – June 28, 2025).

Part II: Live Webinar
On Saturday June 28, 2025, from 7:30-9am PT (10:30am-12pm ET), a live webinar will be presented featuring a panel of HMI faculty for additional discussion and Q&A.

This course offers 5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Content will be accessible to course enrollees for an additional 12 months.

Not able to attend the webinar live? Course enrollment is still available to you! The webinar will be recorded and course activities can be completed up to six weeks later (through August 10) for CME credit.

This continuing medical education activity is designed for medical providers with at least an introductory-level background in medical acupuncture (i.e. 200-hours or more of prior training).

Part I of the “Intersection of Medical Acupuncture and Neurology” series was offered earlier in 2025. Part II is complimentary lecture series, but enrollment in Part I is NOT a prerequisite.

• Clinical Management of Multiple Sclerosis: A Comprehensive Discussion
• Bell’s Palsy
• Trigeminal Neuralgia
• Peripheral Entrapment Syndromes
• Affective Acupuncture

Pre-recorded video lectures (3.5 hours) will be available for one month beginning on May 30, 2025. You will hear directly from HMI staff on May 30 with video access if your registration is completed prior to this date. For registrations completed May 30 and later, please allow up to 48 hours after registration for HMI staff to provide video access to you.

The live webinar will take place via ZOOM on Saturday June 28 from 7:30-9am PT / 10:30am-12pm ET. The link for the webinar will be provided at the same time as Part 1 video access.

This virtual course is designed to allow for maximum flexibility for busy schedules. If you are unable to attend the Part 2 webinar portion live at the scheduled time, you can still enroll! A recording of the webinar will be available and activities can be completed up to six weeks later (through August 10) for CME credit. Full course content is available for an additional 12 months.

Course tuition is $350.

Course tuition includes pre-recorded video lectures, attendance at the live webinar, CME certificate, and access to the videos & webinar recording for 12 months.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).  Helms Medical Institute is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  Helms Medical Institute designates this online activity for a maximum of 5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

A CME certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the entirety of the course. No partial credit will be issued. No credits will be issued after six weeks following the conclusion of the course (August 10).
